Tens of thousands of demonstrators gathered in Los Angeles and throughout the Southland Saturday to protest the policies of the Trump administration in the nationwide “No Kings Day of Defiance” demonstrations.

"No Kings Day" protests are set to be held in SoCal and across the U.S. on Saturday to protest President Trump's administration.

Those millions included an estimated 200,000 people in Los Angeles, 100,000 in Philadelphia, 70,000 in Seattle and over 50,000 in New York.

The largely peaceful protests during the "No Kings Day" demonstration in downtown Los Angeles took an intense turn in the afternoon. Police ordered the crowd to disperse at about 4:15 p.m. PDT near Alameda Street and Temple Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department's Central Division.
