HOOVER, Ala. ( WBRC) - A 10-year-old fourth grade student at Deer Valley Elementary School participated in the Scripps National Spelling Bee competition held in National Harbor, Maryland this week.

Tuesday was another First Alert Weather Day. Some areas in the state are setting rainfall records for the month of May. Trees are also toppling in our area likely due to all the rain and storms.
