Viktor Hovland has a bottle of wine headed his way from U.S. Open champion J.J. Spaun. “I got to give him a nice bottle of wine or something, whatever he wants,” Spaun said on The Dan Patrick Show on Tuesday.

It’s been a whirlwind 48 hours for J.J. Spaun. In the wee hours of Sunday morning, he was running around an Oakmont CVS getting medicine for his sick child. Then he bogeyed five of the first six holes of his final round to all but shoot himself out of the tournament.

J.J. Spaun spoke to the press after his brilliant victory at the 2025 US Open. He revealed the key to his triumph, and it includes one of the giants in golf history: Tiger Woods.

His thrilling victory at Oakmont Country Club on Sunday was another example of the inspiring resilience of a San Dimas High graduate who never forgot his roots.
