Mario Kart World is a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, which means it is not available on Switch 1 or any other Switch consoles. You can't simply go to the My Nintendo Store and buy the Switch 2. To order the Switch 2, you need to log in with an active, paid Nintendo Switch Online account. Once you do that, you can choose either a Switch 2 standalone console or the Mario Kart World bundle and then hit the confirm button to "register your interest" in ordering a Switch 2.
The Switch 2’s Joy-Con controllers have undergone some tinkering. As before, you can attach them to the sides of the screen if you’re playing on the go. If you’re at home, you can attach them to a doohickey that feels more like a traditional joystick. Either way, they’re now more firmly connected with magnets, which provide a satisfying snap.
Currently, the Nintendo Switch 2 starts at $449.99 for the base version. There is also a special bundle that includes the game Mario Kart World, which is available for $499.99. The prices are within reason and to be expected, as several enhanced features were added to the console compared to the original version.
It seems like 'Mario Kart World' has enough going on to keep you happy until more big Switch 2 games come out.
