Waco Independent School District trustees on Tuesday chose education specialist Arash Abnoussi as the District 2 trustee to replace Stephanie Korteweg, who resigned from the post last month.

The board will interview the three candidates and may announce its pick Tuesday. The hopefuls include a Region 12 specialist, a Baylor professor and a real estate agent.
